Neil Kleid is the Xeric-Award winning cartoonist of Ninety Candles, a graphic novella about life, death, legacy and comics. He authored the graphic novel Brownsville with artist Jake Allen for NBM Publishing and has written for Slave Labor Graphics, Puffin Graphics, Marvel Comics, Image Comics and Alternative Comics. He is currently working on his second cartoon book, Migdal David, for Seraphic Press. In his day job as art director, Neil has worked on campaigns for Comedy Central and Miramax Films.

Jake Allen attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Arts for two years and took classes at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA. He illustrated Brownsville with Neil Kleid for NBM Publishing and contributed illustrations for two shorts in Andrew Dabb's Slices. Currently, Allen does graphics for 5-Star Surfboards and the rock band, Firewalk, in New Hampshire.
